Derrin Nauendorf is an Australian who blends blues, folk and country by
combining
guitar, voice and lyric to create a unique and passionate rootsy sound
that has to be experienced. His 2006 album, Rattling Wheel, was
released to great aclaim - being 'compared to Steve Earle, but with a
rougher feel and more dynamic'. A distribution deal with Pinnacle
followed the success of his first commercial album, along with national
radio plays, 'live' sessions on BBC Radio 2 with Paul Jones and Bob
Harris, sessions on many local BBC and other radio shows, presence in
various publications e.g Mojo, Q, Maverick, Blues Matters, Blues in
Britain, and last but not least a 4 star album review in The Sunday
Express alongside Jools Holland, Tom Waits and The
Beatles! Great company indeed ...

A power trio, consisting Chris Green, Jude Rees and Emily Sanders,
Isambarde hail from the Coventry area, but are now reaching quite a
distance in their impact. Whilst the band by and large performs
traditional songs, they've picked a lot that strike a chord with the
21st century. As we kick back against big government and unwanted wars,
Isambarde remind us of those personal freedoms that were hard fought
for by the unions, the right of personal freedoms. English folk music
is being performed with a passion again
A seven-piece 'roots reggae ska meets Northern soul' fusion band led by
singer Mark Da Costa. They perform a mixture of original songs and
re-arrangements by artists including Jimmy Cliff, The Specials, Curtis
Mayfield, Dennis Brown, The Temptations, The Police, The Clash and Amy
Winehouse. Featuring trumpet player Darren Nimmo.
Jo has been touring the UK with her own band since she was 14.
Headlining top clubs like
Ronnie Scotts and the Marquis, has also performed at several of the top
European festivals,
playing alongside many of her heroes like B.B.King. It is a safe bet
that Ms Taylor is the
only teenage girl to sit in on one of Bill Wyman's recording sessions.
Her own writing has
led to something beyond the blues...a soulful mix of roots and pop
influences sung in a hanting smoky voice that never leaves you once you
hear it. Catch her live if you can. Then you can say: 'I was there at
the beginning'. Blue Print Magazine
The Cedars have been spreading the spirit of old-time Blues and
Americana to audiences all across the UK, from Glastonbury to the
Secret Garden Party and everywhere in-between. Their infectious
stomping rhythms, slide guitar and banjo coupled with a soaring vocal,
conjure up scenes of dusty crossroads and cracked river beds so vivid
your throat gets dry just listening to them.
They have been called Britain's super-star Americana band and the
British (even though 2 of them are Irish) answer to the Mavericks but
they are not really 'country' players. Over the years they have worked
separately and severally with some of the top names in pop and rock
music. The music they play encompasses the best elements of the
Americana that they love including: R'n'B, Tex-Mex, Rock'n'Roll,
Country and Swing. Recently they released their debut CD,
'Trigger-happy', on the legendary
Track Records to critical acclaim and later this year will
see the release of a live album recorded at Dingwalls in London. Lineup
includes
Bobby Valentino (vocals, violin & rhythm guitar);
B.J.Cole (pedal steel guitar); Martin Belmont (lead guitar, 6
string bass & vocals); Kevin Foster (bass & vocals) and
Jim Russell (drums).
Seven session musicians from southeast London, with collective credits
with the likes of the Jools Holland r'n'b Orchestra, Burt Jansch,
Martin Carthy, Lonnie Donnegan, Dana Gillespie to name a few. Shedload
Of Love play a wonderful blend of country soul and blues. Fans of The
Band, Dylan, Traffic, Booker T, Crazy Horse, will love this. An

21st Century Rhythm & Blues - Spank the Monkeys live
performances have introduced younger audiences to the glory that is
British R and B whilst reminding more senior onlookers of the halcyon
days of such luminaries as the early Stones, Dr Feelgood and the
Yardbirds.
Delta blues like you never heard it before. Buick 6 instinctively link
traditional with modern, stroll along blues paths and streak through
the folk domain, quoting honestly from both traditions, yet managing to
avoid ungainly copies - ROLLING STONE GERMANY.
